Upon arriving for your appointment, the groomer will assess your pet for coat matting, skin conditions, and discuss any additional pricing if necessary. 

Matting occurs when dead fur wraps around the healthy fur, which can be painful and unhealthy for your dog. If the mats are too close to the skin, your dog may need to be shaved. To help prevent matting, brush your dog regularly; the frequency of brushing will depend on the breed how often you brush depends on the breed. Severe matting does cost extra. Your groomer will assess your pet's fur at the time of your visit.
